🪴 Cultivation
Non-heading leaf cultivar (acephala group), harvested leaf by leaf from the base and productive for up to 2 years. Best between 7 and 22 °C and tolerant of light frost; some cultivars hold up to ~28 °C. Space 0.8–1 m between rows and ~0.5 m between plants. Usually propagated by seed, also by cutting. Fertile, well-drained soil, pH ~6.0–7.0.
